*RESULTS* Army Cycling Virtual Zwift Races

Thank you to everyone who took part in Army Cycling’s first virtual Road Racing series and congratulations to those who earned a top 3 finish. See the results below.

Due to the success of this first virtual series, Army Cycling have decided to host the next run of Summer Road Race fixtures online again. More information can be found here.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, this season’s Army Cycling Road Race Series will take place using a virtual platform over races between April – June 2020. This virtual racing is open to all regular and reserve soldiers.
You will need to be a member of the Army Cycling Union and then join the ACRRS closed Facebook page for more information. (Search Army Cycling in Defence Connect)

Today sees the last of the ACRRS Virtual Summer League Series. The last race of the series is an 18km Time Trial. Good luck to all those taking part and well done to all those who have joined in every week from home.

Today the Army Cycling Road Race Series will be welcoming Alf Payten and his son Mark, who are joining the Army cycling team on today’s Zwift race at 1600hrs (0900hrs their time – Canada).
Alf recently celebrated his 90th birthday in Alberta, Canada with a ‘lock-down’ birthday party. Alf was the 151st member of the Army Cycling Union back in 1950.

Congratulations to the Women’s Army Cycling team who claimed 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the women’s Inter Services virtual Zwift race with Sgt James Bevan winning the men’s Inter Services race. Sgt James Bevan has also been providing live commentary to each of the races so far.
