The 2019 Inter-Corps Summer Tennis League which commenced on 1 May is finally over and the winners were not decided till the final day on Wednesday 3 July ’19. A win by the Gunners over the AGC and a win for the RLC over the Int Corps saw both teams finish on 12 points but the top of the table position goes to the Gunners on the basis of Rubbers won v lost noting that the RA v RLC match on 19 June ’19 was a draw. Therefore:
- 2019 Summer League Champions are the Royal Artillery.
- 2019 Sumer League Runners Up are the Royal Logistic Corps.
This was the Gunners first win in over 2 decades and it was made all the more sweeter as they wrestled the title from the Royal Engineers who have been the dominant force for the past 4 years.
