The first day of the new month saw medal victories in Athletics and Hockey over in Turin.
In both the men’s and women’s 10km race gold was won by WO1 Kelley Hanniver and SSgt Micheal Combe with WO2 Issy Menzies claiming the bronze. There was gold in the 400m by SSgt Audu and a gold medal position for Maj Tom Skinner in the 110m hurdles.
Similarly with the men’s Army double final, the final of the women’s hockey saw another Army double with Army Team A vs Army Team B. Maj Mel Vaggers scored two and Sgt Annabel Lamb scored a hatrick for Team A to win 5-1 and come away with the gold medal. Lt Col Jules Symons was the scorer for Team B.
