Army Sport Round Up Brochure

Sport during this past year has taken a back seat in many minds due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the ASCB has put together a brochure to highlight the events that went ahead before the first national lockdown and the ways that our athletes have found to continue training and competing throughout the restrictions. Also included in the brochure are the sports and events that the ASCB were delighted to be able to authorise over the summer and in between national lockdowns.

The Director of the Army Sport Control Board, Major General Shaun Burley CB MBE, commented:

“Despite the restrictions and constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic, demand to play sport amongst our people continued. Between national lockdowns and during the summer of 2020 over 50% of the Army’s recognised sports responded to demand and managed to lay on over 240 representative fixtures and sports events. […] This booklet provides an insight into the events that took place in 2020.”
