ARMY RUGBY LEAGUE 2019 LAWSON CUP FINALS DAY – THURSDAY 25 JULY 2019

2019 sees the 25th Anniversary of ARL and should be celebrated where possible during the Lawson Cup Finals Day 2019. The Army Rugby League (ARL) Lawson Cup Competition has been contested over the last 4 months, it has been played under the construct of 2 groups. The format has included 4 x 1 day festivals of rugby at 4 Corps locations including Chester (INF), Royal Wooten Basset (REME), Gloucester (RLC) and Blandford (R SIGNALS).  This format has encouraged greater interaction throughout the community and allowed the ARL representative coaches/managers improved visibility of the current player pool; therefore encouraging competition for places and an increased pursuit for excellence.

The culmination of which is now decided and the final between the Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) will play the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers (REME)  on Thursday the 25 July 19 in Aldershot.

The Army Rugby League Lawson Cup Finals Day 2019 will be delivered by Maj P Batley RE assisted by SSgt A Fyles REME and CSgt A Boyle (INF).
